Marseilles
with the vantage of 26 centuries of history, has many treasures for
you to enjoy
-
The Old Harbour with a fish market each morning, the main street la
Cannebière, the Vieille Charité
hospital, the Longchamp palace, and, of course, Notre Dame de la
Garde basilica, the point of reference of the city and nicknamed
affectionately as the Good Mother.
-
Finally, you can stroll around the Panier, the oldest city
neighbourhood in France.
-
At
the end of the morning, you will take the route to Cassis by
the Gineste pass.
-
There, you will have some free time for the lunch, perhaps
in the old port tasting one of the great local speciality : bouillabaisse
-fish soup.
-
The
afternoon will be devoted to discovering Les Calanques, rocky
coves near Cassis. We advice a boat trip to see the caves as
well..
-
At
the end of the day, we will finish the tour with visit to a local
vineyard and taste some of their well known white wines.
